MCS owns and operates two large 5 axis CNC milling machines, the biggest of which has a volumetric cutting space of 1,260 meters cubed – the largest of its type in the UK.
We can offer advice on various materials depending on suitability for production and budget including; MDF, Composites, Plywood, Polystyrene, Polyurethane and Epoxy foams, pastes and tooling boards.
In addition, we also offer access to a smaller 3-axis machine leaving us very well placed to handle large projects as well as those not so large. The finish of the plugs and moulds is paramount for mould life. Some of our clients set their standards of finish by the standards we have developed. Moulds are set onto custom-made transportable steel frames, fully painted to protect the product for years to come.
